Gut Brain Axis ("Mental health")
"Mental health" is physical health. Emerging research indicates that your brain has a significant impact on the health of your gut, and conversely, your gut health can also influence the well-being of your brain and consequently your thoughts, emotions and any diagnosis of a "mental health problem" along with any other health condition. The stomach and intestines are directly influenced by the brain. Take eating, for instance, where the mere thought of it can trigger the release of stomach juices even before food arrives. This connection, however, works both ways. When the intestines are troubled, they can send signals to the brain, just as a troubled brain can send signals to the gut. As a result, stomach or intestinal distress can either be the cause or the result of anxiety, stress, or depression. This is due to the close relationship between the brain and the gastrointestinal (GI) system.
"Modern medicine" is Cartesian-based which means they subscribe to philosopher Rene Descarte's 600 year old view that the mind is separate from the body. Separating body parts is excellent for study, but not good for prevention and treatment of health problem, yet this is still how "modern medicine" including the sick care industry views the human condition to mainly manage symptoms rather than restoring the whole system of the body.
Feed Your Head: Orthomolecular Documentary
What triggers mental illness? Is our diet truly reflective of our mental state? In 1951, psychiatrists Abram Hoffer and Humphry Osmond crossed paths in Saskatchewan, igniting a mission to uncover what psychiatry claimed was unattainable: a remedy for schizophrenia. They aimed to demonstrate that the manifestations of schizophrenia could be managed through a regimen of wholesome, unrefined foods and substantial vitamin intake. Now, seven decades later, their theories appear to hold significant merit.
Many people who do not smoke seem to have a poor understanding of how diffficult it is to quit, and how one begins smoking in the first place. The biggest cause is lifestyle where peer pressure takes a large role in starting virtually any new habit whether socially acceptable or not.
The emotional rewards of parenting may not outweigh the long nights and financial responsibilities, as suggested by recent research. It indicates that many parents tend to overstate their happiness in order to justify their decision to have children, despite the significant economic implications.
Do you ever get the feeling you or people around you have "block heads" and you wonder if they are simply being "ass-holes" with their bad attitudes, moody personalities, and lack of willingness to be open to new ideas? How about you look at their faces and body to also see indicators that their bodies are not in very good shape. This would indicate a lack of neuro-plasticity because of their individual biochemistry. This is not "hocus pocus" and is currently a field of study that is becoming very popular.
More specifically, you need lots of testing not only your blood, but potentially your hair and other things, but the intestinal tract is one of the most important and neglected by the 'conventional' medical system. Your intestinal tract contains millions of beneficial viruses and bacteria, and when those things are out of order along with your entire body, problem will eventually develop. In fact, your intestiinal tract is large enough to cover 1 football field in surface area and this is mostly to do with how the extremely large number of microvilli, or "hairs" that line your intestinal tract that majorly contribute to attempted assimilation of the ingested content that goes into your mouth and other areas such as your "third kidney" the skin. Indeed, the old chinese proverb of "dis-ease enters through the mouth" rings true. This not only includes the politically acceptable 'dis-eases' such as cancer, diabetes, diverticulitis, and other 'normal ones,' but also the politically sensitive and formerly labelled as disease by the psychiatrist's manual DSM of homosexuality, trans-sexual and others. Yes these were official 'conditions' in their manual but because of political correctness and lack of root cause biological explanations, they have been erased from it.
"Get your head checked!"
Have you ever had someone tell you to "get your head checked" in a concerning, demeaning, somewhat insulting way? You're not alone! It happens all the time and it largely stems from the medical-cultural, outdated misunderstanding that has promoted the idea that the mind resides only in the brain. As previously mentioned, the 500 year-old Cartesian, Reductionist medical view has been prevalent for more than 500 years since the Philosopher Descartes promulgated the idea that the mind is separate from the body. This was from a time when Western science was just in infancy and given the idea that humans were no more different than the products you purchase from Walmart -- the idea that we are merely physical beings with the same properties of "inert piece of wood" (as Thomas Sowell famously quips from time to time), The fact is that we are nowhere near being hunks of wood, and our bodies are not only physical, but also more complex and able to even transmute (eg: change potassium to sodium) elements from one to another courtesy of enzymes and other processes that hunks of wood do not have.
Your brain and body are dependent on all the systems contained within it! 9 out of 10 people have blood imbalances in this sick world not only because of the toxins in the environment, but what you eat and are exposed to even at work! One night of binge drinking alcohol depletes 7 years' worth of Vitamin B12 in your body! There are different forms of each substance in your body as well!
You are not a robot from walmart! We are all biochemically different!
The Pot Calling the Kettle Black
The chances are extremely high that the accuser will eventually manifest the same 'condition' in another way such as cancer, heart disease -- drastically increasing the chance of psychiatric medications, doctor visit hesitancy and stigmatization as well. The cycle of blame culture, denial and shame continues in other ways.
They tell you to "get help," but they won't actually help you
Has anyone ever to you "to get help?"also in a concerning, demeaning, somewhat insulting way? That's also because of their extremely limited understanding of things. Little do they know there isn't much "help" especially at the doctor's and psychiatrist's office where they throw a first line of pills and injections at you -- to keep you under the state's control and prevent you from harming other people. Instead of treating your biological problems first with treatment we would give a plant that is dying or malfunctioning with the appropriate levels of substances required -- they give the aforementioned artificial substances that dull your mind and body without running the proper tests to find the underlying causes of your problems. This isn't because you did something willing wrong -- it's mostly because of the above-stated reductionist view of how the body and mind works (or in these cases doesn't because of those outdated, compartmentalized views). Is it any wonder so many people avoid even the thought of attending a psychiatrist's office where you will be stigmatized, put on drugs, and told to keep quiet about it to prevent such stigmatization and misunderstanding? The chances are astoundingly extremely high you don't need to be put on drugs, but because the above-mentioned views and the lack of funding for proper medical care, your chances of injuring yourself OR others is actually higher in the long term when on this so-called 'conventional' treatment and view of things.
Politicians have the money for jail and countless ineffective 'treatments', but not for proper testing?
When someone doesn't have the resources to spend on quality food, supplements, or like I found myself: not knowing what tests and treatments to run on myself and where to spend the money -- one is easily led into the cycle of despair along with the countless others who often lead you into apathy because of their lack of understanding. Essentially the world is full of the blind leading the blind not only on the subject of real healthcare, but in many areas of life.
When you start to enter into the cycle of dis-ease, along with a mindset of distrust of all the so-called professionals and 'authorities' you become a danger to other people and especially the state. Simply think about the countless people out there you see in the media committing random acts of violence and having it labelled such things as "hate crimes," "sex crimes," or any other type of offense, the media runs with these simplistic slogans not only for ratings, but also for the propagation of culture programming. In the case of men we see countless reports and over-representation of acts committed by men with little to no real scientific explanation except to label them as the popular mantra of "mentally ill" which further contributes to the over-representation of men in jails and institutions where they get little to no help except drugs and incarceration. In essence, many people become enemies of the state because they start to learn what is really going on in the world. The stigmatization and lack of understanding continues to cycle unabated.
